Amy Madden was born in New Jersey in 1974. She received her BFA from the Tyler School of Art of Temple University in Philadelphia in 1997 and her MA from New York University in 2006. She has participated in shows at the Attleboro Arts Museum in Massachusetts, New York University’s Barney Gallery and Kimmel Center in New York City, Sev Shoon Gallery in Seattle, and Temple Gallery in Rome, Italy, among other venues. She was the recipient of grants and fellowships from Change, Inc., New York University and the New York State Council on the Arts. 
She was selected to participate in the New York Foundation for the Arts’ 2010 MARK program. She lives and works in Brooklyn and Hudson, NY.
